Eagles Agree To Terms With 16 Undrafted Free Agents

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- NFL teams hope to find a great level of success with their draft picks, but sometimes it's the rookie acquired after the draft that wind up being the diamonds in the rough.

Following the conclusion of the NFL Draft on Saturday, the Eagles agreed to terms with 16 players that did not hear their names called at the draft.

It will be an uphill battle for this group of players, but sometimes not getting picked can work to their advantage, giving them an opportunity to have a slight level of control over where they play as opposed to merely being selected.

Below are the 16 players signed by the team following the draft.

Among the newest players in Philadelphia native, WR Rasheed Bailey. The Roxborough High School product played his college football at Delaware Valley University. He finished his college career as Delaware Valley University's all-time leader in receiving yards with 3,138.

The Eagles also made it a priority to address a clear position of need that they did not address in the draft. The Eagles signed four undrafted offensive lineman: G Brett Boyko, G Malcolm Bunche, C Mike Coccia and G Cole Manhart.

Coccia was a four-year starter at New Hampshire and is a native of Bethlehem, Pa. Bunche is a native of Newark, De and attended Newark High School before playing his college football between the University of Miami and UCLA.

Now we will watch this young group of players look to make their mark and earn a spot on next season's roster. While the next Jason Peters type undrafted rookie may not be among this bunch, the Eagles are hoping that at least one or two proves to be a serious player that just so happened to slip through the cracks.
