VIDEO: Man Steals Wallets, Purses Of Employees At Northeast Philly Wawa

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for a suspect who entered a restricted area and stole the wallets and purses of several employees at a convenience store in Northeast Philadelphia.

The entire incident was captured on surveillance video.

The burglary happened at about 10:45 p.m. on April 21st at the Wawa in the 9400 block of State Road in the city's Torresdale section.

Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the store and walking to a restricted office area in the back of the store.

Once there, the suspect stole several wallets and purses belonging to the store's employees.

The suspect then walked out of the store and left the scene in a dark-colored car south on State Road.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6'0", with a medium build and a tattoo on the right side of his neck. He was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, brown boots and a black and red Phillies hat.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact police.
