DeMarco Murray: 'Not Worried About The Cowboys'

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- On Sunday, September 20th at 4:25 p.m., the Dallas Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. It won't be your normal Week 2 NFL football game.

For DeMarco Murray, the reigning rushing champ, he'll lineup against his former teammates.

"I'm not worried about the Cowboys," Murray told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show on Thursday. "I think I've moved on and I wish those guys the best, and once that game comes ahead we'll focus on that. But right now, we're just focused on today and that's trying to get stronger in this weight room. We got a lower body lift today, so we're gonna get after it a little bit."

Murray, who played his first four NFL seasons with the Cowboys, is now on the flip side of the fierce rivalry and certainly understands the disdain between the fan bases.

"I definitely knew that over the past four years," Murray said, when asked about the rivalry. "I've gotten the wrath, the hatred, being on the other side. So, I've known about the hatred."

As for Philly, well Murray has nothing but good things to say.

"The city has been amazing," Murray said. "The support that you have from the fans and the whole entire community here, it's unbelievable. So, I'm excited to make these guys proud to have me on their team.

"Happy to be here, family is happy to be here, and great guys, great team. I'm looking forward to the season."
