Cooler Temperatures Expected For Next Few Days

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's a noticeably cooler morning across the Delaware Valley, and those temperatures will be staying with us over the next several days.

As the low pressure from yesterday's storms spins away up into Canada, clouds will rotate back in behind it. Bright morning skies will become only partly sunny by this afternoon, with even a sprinkle possible further inland and up in the Poconos. As if much cooler temperatures in the low and mid 50s weren't enough, brisk winds will also be picking up throughout the day.

Friday will feature more sunshine, but it stays breezy and on the cool side. With near freezing lows expected the next two nights, freeze watches and warnings have been issued, primarily for counties outside of Philadelphia.

The extended pattern warms into the 60s, but remains a few degrees below average. On the positive side, there isn't any major active weather to speak of.
