Suspects Armed With AK-47 Rob Man Of iPhone, Wallet In Society Hill

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for two suspects who used an AK-47 to rob a man of his wallet and iPhone a short distance from the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.

The incident happened at about 2:40 a.m. on April 10th in the 300 block of S. 5th Street in the Society Hill section.

According to investigators, the 52-year-old victim was driving home from a club and parked his car inside his garage.

After getting out of his car, the victim was approached from behind by two unknown males who pointed what appeared to be an AK-47 at the victim.

The suspects demanded the victim's belongings and took his wallet and iPhone. The suspects left the scene in a white SUV.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years-of-age, medium complected, with a mustache. He was wearing a brown jacket with a brown hooded sweatshirt underneath.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years-of-age, medium complected, bald, with a goatee and mustache. He was wearing a black jacket, tan pants and a green/white scarf.
