Eagles Looking At Favorable 2015 Slate

By Joseph Santoliquito

PHILADELPHIA, PA (CBS) — One of the most anticipated Eagles' seasons in years was issued a road map Tuesday night, when the NFL announced the 2015 Birds schedule. The Eagles, the biggest pre-season NFL enigma, will be getting six nationally televised games, and for the second-straight year will play on Thanksgiving Day.

The Eagles could start the year 5-0, considering the first five opponents (Atlanta, Dallas, New York Jets, Washington, New Orleans) had a cumalative record of 33-47. Only Dallas made the playoffs of the first five teams the Eagles play in 2015.

The toughest stretch the Birds may have comes in a four-game stretch over five weeks, between Oct. 19 and Nov. 15. In that span, the Eagles will host the Giants on Monday night, travel to Carolina, have their bye week, travel to Dallas and and close that stretch hosting Miami.

The Eagles will appear in prime-time three-straight games and will have three consecutive home games (Weeks 14-16) in December for the first time in franchise history.

Following the team's home opener, the Eagles will hit the road for back-to-back weeks as they take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium (Sunday, September 27) – the first regular-season meeting between the two teams at the stadium – and Washington (Sunday, October 4).

The Eagles will be featured on NBC's Sunday Night Football against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte (Sunday, October 25), and following the team's bye week, Philadelphia will return to Sunday Night Football at Dallas (Sunday, November 8).

For the seventh time in franchise history, and the second time in as many years, the Eagles will play Thanksgiving Day in Detroit in a nationally-televised showdown (Thursday, November 26). The following week, the Eagles will travel to Foxborough, MA, to battle the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots (Sunday, December 6).

The Eagles will begin the final quarter of the regular season with a three-game home stand from Weeks 14-16, squaring off against Buffalo (Sunday, December 13), Arizona (Sunday, December 20) and Washington (Saturday, December 26) before closing out the regular season against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in Week 17 (Sunday, January 3).

Single-game tickets for all 10 Eagles home games will go on sale on Wednesday, May 13 at 10 am. Fans can purchase tickets at that time by visiting www.philadelphiaeagles.com, Ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Prices range from $75 - $130 and there is a four-ticket limit per household.
