Eagles Sign WR Seyi Ajirotutu And DB E.J. Biggers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Tuesday afternoon, the Eagles announced the signings of WR Seyi Ajirotutu and DB E.J. Biggers. Both were signed to one-year deals.

Ajirotutu, 27, was originally an undrafted free agent of the San Diego Chargers in 2010. He has appeared in 57 games over his five-year career with two starts.

He has 420 yards in his career to go with three touchdowns and 24 catches. Ajirotutu is 6'3, 215 and was named the Chargers Special Teams Player of the Year in 2014 leading the team with special teams tackles (17).

The team also added Biggers to their defensive backs group. Biggers is a six-year NFL veteran and was selected in the seventh round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2009.

Biggers, 27, has spent the past two seasons with the Redskins. Biggers is 6'0, 185 and has appeared in a total of 76 games and has made 31 starts.

He has recorded 235 tackles, four interceptions, 38 passes defensed and one sack.

Biggers has experience at both cornerback and safety. The Eagles have a clear need at the safety position following the departure of Nate Allen who started at safety in 2014 and left via free agency.
