Surveillance Video Emerges After Jewelry Store Employee Abducted In Center City

By Steve Patterson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Surveillance video has emerged after police say a jewelry store employee was abducted from a Center City parking garage Saturday afternoon.

Monday new video from Jewelers' Row at the time of the alleged crime.

Police can now see inside the parking garage where they say a 53-year-old jewelry store employee was abducted.

Take a look: you can see a maroon cargo van with white markings fitting the suspect-vehicle description.

It enters the parking garage shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday.

Hours later business owners identify a woman as the victim on the way to the garage's basement.

It's there police say she's kidnapped.

Minutes later the van is seen pulling away.

"It's very sad. I've known her a very long time."

Neighboring jewelry store manager Ellioit Ochs says he's known the woman for nearly two decades.

"Very nice lady, very friendly, never hurt anybody, never bothered anybody."

Ochs says it's so upsetting because of what happened next.

Police say the woman was then bound, beaten and shot with a taser some seven times -- all for the store's keys and safe passcode while the men drove around for an hour -- finally, she was dumped at a Darby Township cemetery nearly ten miles away.

Moments later -- the men allegedly take her again -- this time she's allegedly beaten for the PIN number to her ATM card.

When she's dropped off a second time in the same place a passing driver calls for help.

Monday, her boss, who was with her moments before the abduction, says he's thankful she's alive.

"Relived that she's okay ...very, very relieved."
