New Jersey Gas Prices Still Falling

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Motorists continue to see lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.16, down a penny from last week. That's also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.38.

This marks the fourth straight week that pump prices have fallen in New Jersey.

The national average price on Friday was $2.40, down 3 cents from last week. But that's still much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.57.

Analysts say gas prices will likely remain flat, assuming crude oil prices don't unexpectedly rebound. But there is concern that rising political tensions in the Middle East could prove troublesome.
