WEATHER: A Beautiful Spring Day Is Here!

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- We've been saying it all along this week: "Just wait until Thursday!"

While the Delaware Valley has already had a few days in the 60s so far this year, the majority have been cloudy and/or rainy days. Thursday will be warm, with lots of sunshine. The only X-factor is the wind, and while it is calm this morning, a brisk SW wind will pick up this afternoon. It's going to be very similar to how St. Patrick's Day was, as far as Philadelphia is concerned. Now, keep in mind that if you live along the shore, temperatures will certainly be held back a bit. Atlantic temperatures are only in the low 40s, so it isn't too hard to see why!

Clouds and showers move in on Friday and last through Saturday morning, but otherwise the Easter weekend isn't looking too bad -- sun and clouds behind the rain and seasonable temperatures. The X-factor once again? The wind.

* The risk for fires is at an elevated level today. Gusty winds, clear skies and low relative humidity are all factors that can lead to this situation. Please be responsible with cigarette butts, or if you plan on using this nice day as an opportunity to break out the grill *
