Police: Delaware Man Arrested For Eighth DUI

DOVER, Del. (CBS) – According to police, a Dover man was arrested after he was allegedly found to be driving under the influence for the eighth time.

Authorities say around 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning, a trooper observed a blue Ford Expedition traveling on Peachtree Run Road with an expired registration.

Upon stopping the driver, identified as Robert S. Crain, 52, the trooper smelled a strong alcohol odor and began a DUI investigation.

Police later charged Crain with his eighth DUI offense.

Along with the DUI, authorities say Crain was also charged with driving while suspended and revoked, expired temporary registration, no insurance in possession and other traffic related offenses.
