Residents Return To Homes After Gas Leak In Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, N.J., (CBS) – Police say residents may return to their homes following a gas leak in Magnolia, Camden County.

The incident was reported Wednesday at the intersection of N. Walnut Avenue and Brook Avenue.

South Jersey Gas Company and emergency personnel responded to the scene, according to Magnolia Police.

Police had asked residents to avoid the area and residents unable to get their homes were encouraged to seek shelter at the Magnolia Community Center.

Police say the gas leak has been contained.

Crews are still working in the area and police say residents may return to their homes.
