Officials: 2 Found Dead In Montgomery County Home Reportedly Had Lacerations From Chainsaw

LOWER MORELAND, Pa. (CBS) -- Crews responded to the scene in Lower Moreland, Montgomery County Tuesday afternoon after authorities say two people were found dead.

Police were dispatched at about 12:50 p.m. Tuesday to the 1100 block of Country Lane, according to authorities.

Authorities say a juvenile called police to report finding his parents unresponsive with lacerations from a chainsaw.

Authorities say one of the deaths is an apparent homicide.

The Lower Moreland Police Department and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau have commenced a joint investigation.

"A search warrant is being conducted right now with our forensic unit. They are on scene. It is a bloody scene," said Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele.

The identities of the deceased have not been released at this time.

Autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday.
