WEATHER: Complaining Convention Continues

By Carol Erickson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Complaining Convention continues at the Pennsylvania Complaining Center again today. Hosted by CBS 3 meteorologist Carol Erickson, the day long complaining event started with her keynote address, "Why The Heck Is It Still So Cold?"

She skipped all meteorological reasons and headed straight to "I can't take any more," "this is ridiculous," "didn't the weather get the memo it's spring," and threats of "there better be no more snow" and the like.

Her complaints, and the grousing of the panel, resulted in a standing ovation by the standing room only crowd. Their hand fanning warmed temps in the Complaining Center by one degree. Based on that, the biggest warmup the region has seen in days, the next series of speakers will take the podium outside on Sunday and hope the hot air generated by their non-stop complaints will boost air temperatures from 40 today to 48 tomorrow.
