Police Charge Teen Accused Of Fatally Stabbing Mother In Bridesburg

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police have identified and charged a Philadelphia teenager accused of stabbing his mother to death in the Bridesburg section of the city.

The teen has been identified as 19-year-old Zachary Pritchett.

The attack happened Friday morning on the 2800 block of Reynolds Street.

Police say Pritchett also critically injured his grandmother and initially told investigators the stabbings were the result of a home invasion.

He now faces many charges, including Murder and Aggravated Assault.
