Camden, NJ Seeking Teens And Adults To Help Run Its Summer Recreational Programs

By Kim Glovas

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) -- It's still a few months before summer officially arrives, but the city of Camden is looking for people to help run its summer recreation program now.

Camden Mayor Dana Redd is actively seeking teenagers and adults to fill positions in food service, and as site aides, supervisors and life guards.

"We will be accepting applications to fill nearly 160 youth positions, ages 14-through 18, and close to 140 adults positions ranging from age 18 and above."

Job applicants will be paid from $8.50 an hour up to $15.00 an hour. Nicholas Rivera worked last summer and says the job program is a great opportunity.

"Seniors getting ready to go to college, it'll be a great experience for them to get the work experience and work ethic and attitude to get ready for life."

Applications can be submitted until May 22nd.
