Weather: Rain Never Sounded So Good!

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Another new week begins, and it's another day with below average temperatures.

Despite high pressure being firmly in place on Monday, temps will remain below average, as they have often been recently. Morning readings in the upper 20s will rise into the low 40s by this afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

The next two days will feature some more clouds each day, but temperatures will be on the rise. Some places could see an afternoon shower on Wednesday as a warm front lifts to the north. Behind that front, temperatures will soar. Despite showers on Thursday, we expect to reach well into 60s, with some isolated locations possibly reaching even higher. Don't get used to them; a cold front passage later Thursday will knock temps right back down for Friday and the upcoming weekend.

With monthly temps running 3.6 below normal, rain never sounded so good!
