Pulse Of Philly Podcast: Proposed Three-Team Trade Sends Mariota To Philly

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- It's been all about projected top-five pick Marcus Mariota this offseason and with the April 30th NFL draft looming, it's not about to stop. Not even after the Eagles traded QB Nick Foles for QB Sam Bradford.

"Let's dispel that right now," Eagles coach Chip Kelly said of the Mariota rumors on March 11th, after acquiring Bradford. "I think that stuff's crazy…I think Marcus is the best quarterback in the draft. We will never mortgage our future to go all the way up and get somebody like that because we have too many holes that we're going to take care of."

What if he doesn't have to mortgage the future? What if he could essentially swap Bradford---a $13 million 2015 quarterback who is coming off of two ACL injures, for Mariota---the reigning Heisman Trophy winner who already ran Kelly's offense at Oregon on a four-year rookie deal?

That'd be great, but how is that even possible? Well, Andrew Porter proposed a three-way draft day trade between the Eagles, Rams, and Browns on Thursday's Pulse Of Philly podcast.

Listen: Three-Way Proposed Deal on the Pulse Of Philly podcast

Rams: Acquire picks No. 19 and 20 / Give up pick No. 10 (to the Eagles)

Browns: Acquire Sam Bradford / Give up pick No. 19 (to the Rams)

Eagles: Acquire pick No. 10 / Give up Sam Bradford and pick No. 20 (to the Rams)

In summary, the Eagles would move up ten slots in the draft for Sam Bradford, in order to select Marcus Mariota. Of course, this only works if Mariota falls to No. 10.
