"ISIS Exposed" Author: 'Iran And ISIS In Battle For Global Jihadist Domination'

By Chris Stigall

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Erick Stakelbeck, author of ISIS Exposed: Beheadings, Slavery, and the Hellish Reality of Radical Islam spoke with Talk Radio 1210 WPHT's morning host Chris Stigall about his new book and how the White House is incorrectly handling ISIS and Iran.

"The Obama administration apparently thinks that they can use Iran against ISIS, but this is madness. They both want the same thing. Both Iran and ISIS want to dominate the Middle East and eventually the world. So, at the end of the day they're fighting now, they're fighting each other in Syria, Not because of any great ideological differences. Of course Iran is Shia, ISIS is Sunni, but both of them want to wipe Israel off the map and both of them want to wipe America off the map. So, there is this struggle right now between Iran and ISIS for global Jihadist domination."

Stakelbeck believes that Iran is "the head of the snake" and the "greatest state sponsor of global terrorism" but that has not stopped people from questioning him on we even have to pay attention to the events in the Middle East.

"Well, here's one reason. Iran right now is developing intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) that eventually could reach the United States and if things keep going the way they're going those missiles will one day be nuclear tipped. There's a reason that Iran calls Israel 'The Little Satan' but calls America 'The Great Satan.' If Iran were to get its wishes and wipe Israel off the map, I don't think Iran would stop there and just pack up their bags and go home. Next for Iran would be the West and ISIS has the same goals."

Though all of the action on the news points to ISIS being thousands of miles away, Stakelbeck points out that they are actually much closer to home.

"In all 50 US states, including Alaska and Hawaii, there are now active investigations in to ISIS related activity. At least 180 US citizens have left their comfortable existence here in America have traveled overseas to the Middle East to join ISIS."
