Counterfeit Money Reportedly Floating Around Montgomery County
LOWER MERION, Pa. (CBS) -- Fake $100 bills are reportedly floating around Lower Merion, putting businesses and consumers are on alert in Montgomery County.
A thief swindled the Apple Store at Suburban Square on Sunday.
The suspect is said to have used 20 counterfeit $100 bills to buy a gift card.
Also on Friday, a shopper used a fake $100 to buy a pair of sandals at DSW.
Police are working to see if those cases are related.
