NJ Marijuana Advocates To Hold Spring 'Smoke Out'

TRENTON, NJ (CBS) – New Jersey marijuana advocates are set to hold a "smoke out" this month in Trenton.

According to a Facebook page, the group – which includes all types of people including medical marijuana patients, politicians and yes, "potheads" – will gather at the NJ State House in Trenton.

At 2 p.m., there will be a "Million Joint March" starting at Trenton Riverline Station that will head up Clinton Street, turn left on State Street then march to the State House.

At 4:20 p.m., those gathered plan to "Smoke-Out the State House by smoking across the street in a defiant, nonviolent act of civil disobedience."

The Facebook page cites at previous 4-20 rally last year, when 150 people reportedly smoked in front of police and "no one was arrested."

The "Smoke Out" is one of three similar protests planned this spring in New Jersey.
