Officials Say Wife Of Cooper Health CEO Died From Stab Wound

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) -- Nearly five months after the couple's death in their New Jersey home, officials released the cause of death of the wife of Cooper Health System's President and CEO, John Sheridan.

According to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office, the medical examiner's office confirmed Joyce Sheridan died from a stab wound to her chest that punctured her aorta.

Officials say she and her husband were both found unresponsive amid a fire, that was intentionally set, in the master bedroom of their Somerset County home in September.

Authorities say there is no cause or manner of death at this time on John Sheridan.
