Female Pedestrian Struck By Car In Delaware

TALLEYVILLE, Del. (CBS) -- A pedestrian is hospitalized after she was struck by a car in Delaware Friday morning.

The crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of US Rt. 202 (Concord Pike).

According to the Delaware State Police, a female pedestrian was struck by a car. The female was taken to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center where she is being treated for serious injuries.

Investigators said the driver stopped at the scene.

The northbound lanes of US Rt. 202 were closed at the Rocky Run Parkway; however, they have since been re-opened.

The incident remains under investigation.
