Flyers Skate In Columbus Tonight

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Flyers will look to earn a point in their eighth straight game tonight as they continue their road trip in Columbus.

The Flyers are 5-0-2 in their last seven games, that includes a 2-1 overtime loss on Tuesday in Montreal. This surge has left the Flyers with 55 points and that is good for fifth place in the eight team Metropolitan Division.

Columbus has 49 points, that has them seventh in the Metropolitan. But Columbus has played the Flyers tough this season, winning two of the three match-ups between the two teams, including a 3-2 overtime decision, in Ohio, in their most recent meeting back on December 9th.

The Flyers are without injured goalie Steve Mason for at least a couple of weeks so Ray Emery will get another start in net. The veteran played well on Tuesday in Montreal, making 39 saves.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sarah Baicker of CSNPhilly.com about tonight's match-up.
