Police: Man Duct-taped, Assaulted During Home Invasion In Burlington County

MEDFORD, N.J. (CBS) -- Police are investigating a home invasion that targeted a 64-year-old man in Medford, New Jersey.

Officers responded to reports of the crime, which happened at a home on Chief Massasoit Road on Sunday, Feb. 8th around 8:42 p.m.

Police say two black males entered the home through an unsecured door and duct-taped the 64-year-old victim to a chair and assaulted him while demanding money.

The victim was repeatedly struck by a pipe or similar object and the suspects told him that if he called police, they'd return to kill him.

One of the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim's 2010 silver Cadillac DTS with NJ plates J53APR.

The victim was taken to Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly with non-life-threatening injuries.

The first suspect is described as a 50-60 year-old black male with dark skin, dark brown eyes and a salt and pepper mustache. He's about 5'10" to 6'0" tall and about 150-175 lbs and was wearing a black hoodie, a black winter jacket, black pants, light colored sneakers, winter gloves and a beanie. He is also possibly missing teeth.

The second suspect is a 30-35 year-old light-skinned black male who has dark brown eyes and is between 5'8" and 5'10" and 200-225 lbs. He was wearing a navy blue winter jacket, black pants, winter gloves and a beanie on his head.

Two bicycles were also found abandoned near the victim's home.
