PATCO's CEO Takes To The Rails To Publicize New Train Schedule

By Justin Udo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- PATCO's CEO takes to the rails to let riders know about the transit agency's new train schedule that starts this Thursday.

The new schedule fliers read renewing and restoring one track at a time.

On Thursdays and Fridays starting this week, PATCO will be single-tracking over the Benjamin Franklin Bridge so crews can work on a rehabilitation project.

In an effort to let riders know about the changes, PATCO CEO John Hanson handed out leaflets to riders in Center City Tuesday afternoon.

"Most people have just thanked me for the schedule, a couple people have expressed a little bit of frustration about the schedule switching," said PATCO CEO John Hanson.

Hanson says talking to folks who use transit system and are affected by what goes on with it is a nice change of pace from his regular in-house duties.

"I like to be out here. I always appreciate the feedback I get from PATCO riders and from the community, even if it's not exactly the feedback that I was hoping for," said Hanson.
