Campaign Helps Support The Troops, Raise Money For Local USO Programs

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - "Hug A Hero" -- that's the name of a campaign to show support for service members in combat and to raise money for USO programs in Pennsylvania and South Jersey.
You'll be able to go online and select whether you want to send a valentine "hug" to troops for $5 or a "kiss" for $10.
"Members of the community can send a personalized hug or kiss for Valentine's Day week to their personal hero or people can send a generic valentine of support and love to the troops that will be selected by the USO," explains Dana Spain, a board member with the organization.
Proceeds benefit Liberty USO programs which assist members of the military and their families.
The program runs Saturday through Valentine's Day next week.
