Snow and rain is to blame for several accidents along some major roadways across the Philadelphia region. Speeds were reduced on area highways and drivers were urged to travel with caution.

A crash involving a construction vehicle and a pick-up truck snarled traffic on I-95. The accident happened just before 6:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes approaching Cottman Avenue. Emergency crews closed the two left lanes and at least one lane northbound. It is unclear if there were any injuries.

The storm is also causing some problems for riders who rely on mass transit. SEPTA's Paoli-Thorndale Line is experiencing delays of up to 20 minutes because of switch problems.

New Jersey Transit says there are delays up to 15 minutes system-wide. They're also cross honoring tickets and passes.

PATCO service is operating normally.

There have been some early morning cancellations at Philadelphia International Airport, but most of the arrivals and departures are still on schedule. Travelers are still being urged to check the status of flights via the airport's website or by calling 1-800-PHL-GATE.

As for the roads, crews are out all throughout the Delaware Valley. PennDOT says it has nearly 340 trucks salting the roads, but is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel. Speed limits were reduced overnight to 45 mph on all interstates and several other routes in the region. But all speeds have since been restored to their usual posted limits.

Speed restrictions are still in place along area bridges between Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
