Would Chris Pratt Make a Good Indiana Jones?

By Brian Ives

You know that flashback scene in Guardians of the Galaxy where a young Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is kidnapped by aliens? And how he goes on to an extraterrestrial starship and becomes a member of a mercenary gang, calling himself "Star-Lord"? Before growing into a slightly more responsible guy and linking up with a talking raccoon, a talking tree and a couple of colorful assassins.

But what if, instead, Quill was transported back in time to the late 1920s where he becomes an archeologist/adventurer, and then a college professor, but then went back to being an adventurer?

Well, if that happened, the movie would be called Star-Lord and the Temple of Doom.

Of course, that didn't happen. Which is good news for Chris Pratt, who played Star-Lord in the insanely successful Guardians of the Galaxy film, as he's now rumored to be in the running for the lead role in an Indiana Jones reboot.

News of the potential reboot dropped today, with Pratt's name surfacing as a key candidate for the role made famous a few decades back by Harrison Ford.

Pratt taking over the Indiana Jones role wouldn't be that much of a stretch. Both Jones and Star-Lord, after all, share things in common: they steal stuff, escape tight situations, have to deal with cosmic calamities despite having no super powers, and often get by on their looks and charm (Quill might even have a leg up here, as he winds up with a green assassin as his love interest).
