SportsRadio 94WIP's Wingbowl 23 Official Weigh-In

WHO: SportsRadio 94WIP's Al Morganti, Rhea Hughes and eaters competing in Wing Bowl 23.

WHAT: 29 eaters are scheduled to appear to record their official "eating" weight and record their age, height, and hometown. Members from each eater's entourage plus dozens of Wingettes will be on hand to cheer on their favorite eaters to victory.  

WHEN: Thursday, January 29th (night before Wing Bowl) from 5-7 PM.

WHERE: Chickie's and Pete's, 1526 Packer Ave, South Philadelphia, PA 19145.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- WIP's Wing Bowl 23 presented by Steven Singer Jewelers and SugarHouse Casino will be held Friday, January 30th starting at 6 AM at the Wells Fargo Center.  The competition heats up for Wing Bowl 23 with last year's champion, Molly Schuyler, Nacho from the Wahlburgers, and one of the highest ranked eaters in the country, Patrick Bertoletti,  all competing against the field of local eaters.  Plus returning this year is the college division.  A portion of the proceeds from Wing Bowl 23 will benefit local charities including the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund.  For more information, go to www.wingbowl23.com.

This year's competition promises to be the biggest party and the prizes have a different twist.  The overall winner of Wing Bowl 23 wins a 2015 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Softail Fat Boy Motorcycle courtesy of Barb`s Harley Davidson, along with $10,000 in cash and a Wing Bowl 23 Championship ring both courtesy of Steven Singer Jewelers.   For the first time ever,  SportsRadio 94WIP and Steven Singer Jewelers will give $10,000 cash to the

Overall Runner Up as well. This makes it a $20,000 grand total of cash provided by Steven Singer Jewelers. Once again, WIP has two cars up for grabs: one for the top Local Eater and one for the top College Eater.  The Wing Bowl 23 Local Winner has the chance to win a Chrysler 300 and the Collegiate Eater will win a Chrysler 200 both from Barbera`s on the Boulevard.  The Wingette of the Year walks away with $5000 cash courtesy of Rumer Cosmetic Surgery and a Riviera Spas, Orchid 5 Person Hot Tub from Diamond Pools.
