Zac Rinaldo Suspended Eight Games

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo has been suspended for eight games without pay for his hit on Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang on Tuesday, January 20th.

Rinaldo was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct for the hit.

Per the Flyers' release, "Rinaldo is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $73,170.72. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund."
