Employee At Delaware Dunkin' Donuts Uses Newspapers To Thwart Armed Robbery

NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) -- An employee of a donut store in Delaware thwarted an attempted robbery by throwing newspapers at the armed suspects, police said.
The incident happened at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday at the Dunkin' Donuts on N. DuPont Highway in New Castle.
According to investigators, two suspects entered the store and confronted a 41-year-old employee. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.
The employee, however, refused to comply with the suspect's demands and began to throw several newspapers at them before fleeing to the rear of the store.
The suspects then ran out of the store without obtaining any cash.
The first suspect is described as a male, 5'9"-5'11" and weighing between 150-160 lbs. He was last seen wearing tan pants, a dark jacket and shirt and had a mask covering his face.
The second suspect was also a male, 5'7"-5'9" and weighing between 150-160 lbs. He was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing and had a ski mask covering his face.
