One Week After Holmesburg Hit-And-Run, Search Continues For Driver

By David Spunt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One week after someone hit and killed a woman in Northeast Philadelphia, police are still looking for the driver.

Theresa Pozzi, 33, died on Tuesday, December 23rd during rush hour traffic. Witnesses say a black truck with a tow arm on the rear hit and killed Pozzi as she crossed State Road. Pozzi did not use a crosswalk. The driver left the scene.

Eyewitness News spoke to the Pozzi family several hours after her funeral. Her mother Anna says the family will never be the same.

"Your children are supposed to bury you. You're not supposed to bury them," Anna Pozzi said.

Detectives tell Eyewitness News they are reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses to try and decipher the license tag number.

"It's been a week. It is very frustrating. This was a fatal hit and run," said Chief Inspector Scott Small with the Philadelphia Police Department.
