Crash Forces Closure Of Route 309 In Richland Township

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- Police are investigating an accident overnight that forced the closure of Route 309 in Richland Township, Bucks County.

The crash occurred around 1 a.m. Tuesday along Route 309 between Tollgate and Station Roads.

Authorities say the crash resulted in downed utility poll and wires.

The accident forced the closure of all lanes of Route 309 in both directions between Tollgate and Station Roads.

Drivers were being asked to use Old Bethlehem Pike as an alternate route.

There was no initial word on any injuries or what caused the accident.
