Year In Review: Traffic Court Corruption Exposed In Court In 2014

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- KYW Newsradio is taking a look back at some of the top stories of the year gone by. Corruption brought down Philadelphia's Traffic court in 2013 and justice for those charged unfolded in 2014.

Nine judges were among those charged in the indictment, three pleaded guilty, while six others went to trial. All were acquitted of ticket-fixing, but four were convicted of lying about their conduct.

The first of these convicted judges, Robert Mulgrew, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison by federal Judge Lawrence Stengel.

Another of the convicted judges has been sentenced to two years in prison. The other two will be sentenced in 2015.
