Hazmat Call Prompts Evacuation Of Germantown Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Officials say hazmat crews were called to the Germantown section of Philadelphia Friday evening to investigate a situation that forced an evacuation at a home.

This happened around 6 p.m. on the 200 block of West Clapier Street.

Officials say something was leaking from a truck. They later determined it was just gas and it is now contained.

Three people were evacuated from the home as a precaution, but have since been allowed to retun. No injuries were reported.
