Camden County Woman Arrested For Repeatedly Impersonating A Corrections Officer
WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – Police have arrested a woman for impersonating a corrections officer.
Around 10:50 a.m. on Thursday, police pulled over a driver on Williamstown Road in Sicklerville for tinted side windows, a tinted front windshield and a license plate cover.
When the officer spoke to the suspect, Holly Wood, she identified herself as a correctional officer from Chester County and provided her Chester County Corrections identification.
At that point, police say they were notified that Wood had an active warrant out for her arrest in Winslow Township for impersonating a law enforcement officer.
An investigation also revealed Wood had not been a corrections officer for more than nine years.
Wood was arrested without incident.
The passenger, who was identified as her father, William Wood, also claimed to be a retired Philadelphia Police officer and was found to have an outstanding warrant from Atlantic City.
William Wood was also arrested and released on bail.
Holly Wood was committed to Camden County Jail. Past vehicle stops that were digitally recorded are under review and additional impersonation charges are expected.
