PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Sixers are about to set the NBA record for most consecutive losses to begin a season, the Flyers have lost nine of their last ten games, and the Phillies continue to stay idle with their aging core, amid a rapid decline.

The Eagles, however, are coming off a statement win over the Dallas Cowboys, in Dallas, on Thanksgiving. The Birds are 9-3 and control their own destiny in the NFC East, as they get ready for a monstrous date with the defending champion Seahawks in South Philadelphia.

Hint: The "Kings" of Philly sports are wearing green, these days.

3. LeSean McCoy

The narrative around Philly is "Shady is back", although some of us (cough, cough) never thought he went anywhere.

McCoy rushed for 159 yards on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys, his best performance of the season, and his best game since the "Snow Game" against the Lions last season. McCoy has now rushed for 745 yards over the last seven games, including four 100-yard performances.

2. Mark Sanchez

Since taking over for an injured Nick Foles in the second quarter of the Eagles' Week 9 game at the Houston Texans, Sanchez has won four games and lost just one. In five games played, Sanchez has thrown over 1,400 yards, eight touchdowns, and six interceptions. Against the Cowboys, Sanchez had his best game yet, completing 69-percent of his passes, while committing zero turnovers.

Furthermore, with Sanchez at the helm---per ESPN.com---the Eagles' turnovers are down, and the ball is being thrown quicker and more accurately, especially when the ball is going to Jeremy Maclin and Jordan Matthews.

But other than all the wins and statistics, Sanchez is charismatic, engaging, and captivating as a human being. His press conferences are lively and his comments are intriguing. He's meant to be a quarterback.

1. Chip Kelly

What can you even say? The guy has become the undisputed God of Philadelphia sports.

  • The Eagles are 7-2 against NFC East opponents under Chip Kelly.
  • Kelly is now 19-9 in 28 NFL regular season games.
  • His 4th ranked offense is now running at a faster rate than ever.

It's Chip's world and we're just living in it.

HONORABLE MENTION: Billy Davis, Connor Barwin, Fletcher Cox, Jeremy Maclin
