Easton Woman Arrested For Attempting To Hire Hit Man To Kill Daughter's Ex And 2 Others

TRENTON, NJ (CBS) – A Pennsylvania woman has reportedly been arrested for attempting to hire a hit man to kill her daughter's ex-boyfriend and two others.

Denise Marie Nagrodski, 52, of Easton, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Route 22 in New Jersey as she drove away from the Phillipsburg Mall, where she met an undercover NJ State Police officer she believed would carry out the murders.

Officials say she paid him $500 and drew a map to the house where the victims lived in Bound Brook, NJ. Previously, Nagrodski paid the officer another $500.
Both meetings were secretly recorded.

Officials say Nagrodski wanted to kill the victim – as well as his sister and his sister's boyfriend – because she claimed he was abusive and caused her daughter to have a miscarriage years ago when she was pregnant with twins.

She reportedly asked that the sister and her boyfriend each be shot twice in the forehead, "one for each twin," and asked that the undercover officer make the ex-boyfriend aware that she was responsible for his death, telling the detective to "burn him alive."

Nagrodski was charged with three counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of first-degree attempted murder, one count of second-degree conspiracy to commit aggravated arson, and one count of fourth-degree attempt to tamper with or fabricate physical evidence.

If convicted, each first-degree charge carries a sentence of 10 to 20 years in state prison.
