Bennie Logan On Cowboys O-Line: 'They're Not A Challenge For Us'

By Joseph Santoliquito

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Bennie Logan is usually a tranquil sort, with the obvious exception being when the Eagles' nose tackle is on the field. But something roused an inner fire in Logan on Sunday after the Eagles' vanquished the Tennessee Titans, 43-24 on Sunday.

The mention of the Dallas Cowboys offensive line and how good they are rankles Logan. The Dallas front is a true reason why the Cowboys are 8-3—behind tackles Tyron Smith and Doug Free, center Travis Frederick and guards Ronald Leary and Zack Martin. Smith, Frederick and Martin are first-round picks, and playing like it. Free, who just returned from a foot injury, was a fourth-round find, and Leary was an undrafted free agent signee in 2012.

This week, Logan carried his loathing for the Dallas o-line.

"They have to block us, and it's all fun and games until you line up against us," Logan said. "We don't really care what people say, because we know once we get on the field we know what we can do and what we've been doing all season long. We don't have to worry about all the high expectations and the hype and stuff, they're the ones that have all the hype and high expectations of being such a great offensive line.

"We just have to play our style of football and be who we are. We have to execute up front, use technique, effort, and fundamentally control the line of scrimmage. They're not a challenge at all for us, not a challenge at all. They do a good job of running scratch and things like that. We just have to remain on key, take the guy in front of [Cowboys' running back DeMarco Murray] and get cut off. If we do get cut off, we have to make sure we get penetration and knock back. We just have to control the line of scrimmage."
