LeSean McCoy Discusses His Resurgent Game Against Titans

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There were plenty of positives to take away from the Eagles 43-24 win over the Titans, but perhaps none were a more welcomed sight than to see LeSean McCoy have a stellar game.

McCoy has been forced to address whether or not there has been a decline in his ability this season as the team has not run the ball the way they did last season when McCoy won the rushing title. On Sunday, McCoy answered his critics to the tune of 130 yards on 21 carries to go along with a rushing touchdown.

The Eagles running back knows that performances like that from him also have a lot to do with the overall team effort up front.

"I think it starts with the guys up front," McCoy said on The Players Lounge on Monday. McCoy characterized his offensive line's performance as "dominating," on Sunday against Tennessee.

McCoy said there is an actual sense that comes over him when he knows there will be space for him to make an impact in the run game. "There's a vibe. There's a groove you get when you're looking for that next big hole."

Now McCoy will hope to get that same feeling against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. To McCoy, the setting for the game is perfect. "It's the perfect setup, the perfect setup to be champs," McCoy said. While the game will not necessarily determine the division champ, it will send a serious statement in terms of who the better team is as the season winds down.

McCoy will indirectly be matched up with DeMarco Murray in a battle of last season's leading rusher and this season's current leading rusher. McCoy is well aware of the match up.

"I think every player, especially in the same position, always try to out do each other," McCoy said of going against Murray.
