New Exhibit At 3 SEPTA Stations Provides Glimpse Into The Dreams Of Children Around The World

By Mike Dougherty

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One of the luxuries of riding SEPTA is being able to zone out for a while and day dream. A new exhibit on display at three train stations gives us a glimpse into the dreams of children from around the world.

"Dreams in Transit" shows off the artwork of students in grades K-12. Each one is a small flag with the dreams of that child.

Janelis wrote a poem about her goal to become an actress."My dream is delicate as a flower. It's like a baby, one step at a time. It's as big as Hollywood. It's like a rainbow filled with many colors. My dreams are my dreams, so don't tell me no."

They are on display at the 69th Street, Jefferson and Frankford stations as part of a collaboration with the Dream Flag Project.

"SEPTA has been a very active partner in helping us to get dream flag message, our children's dreams out into the community," says founder Jeffery Harlan.

He says a dream on display gives a child a little more motivation and the idea that anything is attainable.
