Weather: A Return To Normal?

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- When the thermometer is expected to reach the 40s, and you hear the phrase "at least it's not as bad as yesterday" uttered a full week before Thanksgiving, you KNOW it has been really cold.

We catch a bit of a break on Thursday; it won't be nearly as harsh as it's been.

Unfortunately, the passage of a weak cold front will squash those temperatures back down on Friday. The sun remains the constant in all this, right into the weekend.

Saturday is another rebound day, but this time instead of falling back down, the temperatures continue to rise the following day.

Sunday we expect highs in the mid to upper 50s, with more clouds in the picture. Temperatures will then climb into the upper 60s (yes, 60s!) on Monday, flirting with record highs just days after setting several record lows.

Want an early peek at Thanksgiving? It looks tranquil, with temperatures at or just below average.
