Trust Fund Established For Brother Of 3-Year-Old Boy Murdered In Chester County

WEST CALN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- According to the Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, Inc., a trust fund has been set up to benefit Ryan McMillan, the six-year-old brother of Scotty McMillan who was allegedly tortured to death earlier this month.

Scotty's mother, Jillian Tait and her boyfriend Gary Fellenbaum, have been charged with torturing and murdering 3-year-old Scotty.

CVC of CC says this is the only trust that has been officially established and recognized to benefit Ryan McMillan.

Board member Laura Sweeney says, "The news of Scotty's death rocked our community to the core. In addition to being a board member of the CVC of CC, I am also a mom to two young, beautiful boys. It is heartbreaking to know that Scotty suffered such horrific pain. It is heartbreaking to know that Ryan will have to grow up without his brother by his side. It is our hope that through the creation of this trust, Scotty's memory will live on and help Ryan on his journey to healing. Through this trust, Ryan will know he is not alone; he has a community surrounding him."

District Attorney Tom Hogan adds, "This child has been exposed to some things that no child should ever see or hear. He has lost his little brother. He was betrayed by the people who were supposed to care for him. The good people of this community cannot do anything to help Scotty except shed a tear and say a prayer, but we all can join together to help Ryan McMillan rebuild his life."

According to CVC of CC, James J. Terry Funeral Home covered all costs for Scotty funeral. Attorneys Jim McErlane, Skip Persick, and Stacey Willits McConnell from the law firm Lamb McErlane PC volunteered to establish the trust. DNB First bank volunteered to work with the attorneys to handle the details of the trust account.

All donations should be sent to:
Chester County Angel Trust
DNB First Wealth Management
410 Exton Square Parkway
Exton, PA 19341

Anyone seeking more information should contact: Skip Persick at 610-430-8000.
