Annoyed LeSean McCoy Refuses To Address Possible Decline

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- "I'm not gonna address that."

That was LeSean McCoy's answer to 94WIP's Ike Reese, who questioned if McCoy has lost a step on the 94WIP Players' Lounge Show earlier in the week.

On Wednesday, McCoy was again asked if he was the same player, this time by 94WIP's Howard Eskin.

"Listen, I don't care what's out there," an annoyed McCoy said. "I'm not going to address, 'Am I the same player?' I don't address that. For what?

"What are we sitting here talking about," McCoy continued, channeling his inner Allen Iverson. "Am I the same player? That's for ya'all to figure out. You crazy? Am I the same player? I am the same player."

And poof, he disappeared, walking away from the podium.

McCoy is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry, which is tied for 38th in the NFL, a far cry from his fifth best 5.1 yards per carry last season. However, this year McCoy has had to deal with a banged up offensive line, inconsistent quarterback play, and the lack of a deep threat at wide receiver.

Despite those issues, McCoy, 26, is just 203 yards and one rushing touchdown off his exact 2013 pace. Nevertheless, many continue to question if the NFL reigning rushing champ has begun to decline.
