1 Dead After North Wildwood House Fire
NORTH WILDWOOD, NJ (CBS) – One person is dead after a house fire in North Wildwood on Tuesday night.
Officials say the fire broke out around 8:15 p.m. on the 200 W. block of 17th Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed in flames, and a family member notified crews one person was still inside.
Firefighters were unable to rescue that person, and remains were later found at the site.
Nearby homes had to be evacuated as well.
An investigation is ongoing.
