Light Overnight Snow Coats Some Suburban Lawns, But Not Roads
By Mike DeNardo
EXTON, Pa. (CBS) - The region's first measurable snowfall brushed the northern and western suburbs of Philadelphia overnight.
The first flakes of the season coated lawns and windshields in Chester County, including the one belonging to Theresa Feeney of Chester Springs:
(Reporter) "When you woke up this morning and looked at your car, what did you see?"
"There's a little bit of snow on the top," she says. "It's really exciting! We're getting ready for the holidays so I'm excited about it now. I'm sure next month or in January I won't be so excited."
Bob Bellwoar of Chester Springs describes what he saw when he looked out the window:
"A little bit of snow. Beside the house and also a little bit on the grass."
The half-inch of snow in Exton didn't really pose much of an inconvenience for drivers, except for brushing that dusting off of the windshield.
