Cops Interview Roommate of Woman Found Dead -- Naked And Beaten -- Inside West Philly Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating the suspicious death of woman found dead inside her home in West Philadelphia early this morning.

Police were first called to the home on the unit block of 53rd Street just before 3am. They say they found the 62-year-old victim naked with bruises on her body.

The victim was identified by family and neighbors as Sandra Barley.

The victim's roommate was also found with bruises inside the home.  She was treated at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for minor injuries, and was being interviewed later by investigators at police headquarters.

That woman, 57 years old, told police that three men in masks and hoodies are responsible for the crime, but police think the story is questionable since there were no signs of forced entry.

Family members of the deceased victim claim she was a victim of abuse by her roommate and they aren't surprised this happened.

Neighbors tell CBS3 they can't imagine anyone would want to harm the deceased victim and also say the two women had issues in the past.

Police are investigating this as a homicide as they continue putting the pieces together.
