The Calm Before The Big Chill

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Get your 60s while supplies last.

The early morning fog is dissipating, and any clouds will eventually give way to some sunshine during the afternoon hours.

As the sun sets later today, the temperatures will begin their chilly plunge. Looking ahead, it doesn't look like we will escape the 40s for the next week!

The sun is back on Thursday but will give way to clouds by the PM hours, with a few scattered showers through the evening hours. The Poconos could even see a few flakes of snow. Nothing to worry about!

Sunshine is back and here to stay Friday through the weekend, but again, the story will be those chilly, well below average temperatures that will be stuck with us through next week.

We will also be tracking a system that could bring us widespread rain Monday into Tuesday. We could briefly see some of that 's' word on the back of this system as well. This doesn't appear to be significant in those terms at all, but as always keep it locked in to CBS3 for the latest now and throughout the weekend!
