Driver Injured After Crashing Into Church In Cobbs Creek

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman was hospitalized after she crashed her car into the side of church in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 11:45 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Osage Avenue and 61st Street in the city's Cobbs Creek neighborhood.

Police say a 42-year-woman lost control of her SUV and slammed into a church.

She was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with a head injury.

Police are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
